Why buy in Benicia, CA? Some years back there was a trend in our idioms specifically the question what’s your WHY? Basically, it asks us to retrospect on what motivates us to have a purpose and a plan. In the world of realty and the home-buying search, the question would be where you want to buy a home and why.
To me the town/city of Benicia is not just the gateway to Solano County, it is a gem if you look at Solano County as a crown. It provides a diversified community, where professionals, non-professionals, individuals, couples, young and established families, and seniors all call home. With a wonderful clean, and neat thriving downtown where events one can tell have a lot of heart and effort behind them, and are held all year long making Benicia a vibrant and passionate art and heart community.
First Steet, which is Main Street for Benicia, offers a variety of small unique boutiques, and shops intertwined with other commerce. The town provides many yearly events that not only entertain the local residents but welcome tourism as well, with the local law enforcement present to provide a protected sense of community and safety.
There are a variety of eateries, that offer many restaurants, including fine dining, that offer outside seating to embrace the nice small-town ambiance. And yet, as a waterfront town, you can take in the view of the Carquinez Straits from the pier at the end of First Street.
In addition, Benicia offers good-sized strip malls, the Square Shopping Center on E Military, and the larger of the two the Southampton Shopping Center where consumer needs are well provided for with both Supermarkets, banking, and restaurants.
Benicia is also well-aged, like fine wine, it has historic significance, as a former capitol city for the state of California, and is named after a woman wife of the land owner and one of the three founders of the town.
It also offers a good school district for public school rankings, and it offers private education as well. This is a primary consideration for a lot of individuals, couples, and families, where the safety and quality of education are so important and in the town of Benicia they seem to go hand in hand.
And so, for diversity, community, a thriving downtown, the yearly events, convenience for shopping, its historic significance, and good school scores, Benicia checks off a lot of the why boxes that we seek in a desired location, it needs to fulfill our wants and needs.
