MISSION VERSES COMMISSION: It seems oxy-moranic, but I would rather be an oxy-moron than a regular moron.(lol) But I focus on the mission and not a commission. Here’s the issue: effective August 17, 2024, commissions are no longer allowed to be posted on the Multiple Listing Service (MLS). Now agents have to focus on negotiating to make it work, not working to make the commission work. However, for me it won’t be an issue for I always focus on the mission, what are my client’s needs, what can I do to protect their interest through the process, and how can I negotiate the best outcome, and they can slide into the home plate safely and happily. This is how I have practiced my craft for 22 years. And the reason I became an independent broker, is to be able to do so and have a personal brand that I can give direct credit to for the work that I do.
