May is the month we celebrate Mothers’ love. To me, there was/is no greater role than fulfilling that of a good, unconditionally loving mother to my two sons. They have grown to become wonderful men who carry my love in their hearts.
And yet, I know full well that not everyone had a Mother’s love. For this reason, as an Author, Poet, and Writer, my heart was moved one day to write Happy Other Mother’s Day. I dedicate it to all the little children, teens, youth, and adults who yearned for the loving, warm, safe, and supportive embrace of a mother’s love but were not lucky enough to receive it. However, those who learned to love and nurture themselves could give what they didn’t receive and bless their children with love. May you and your children be blessed as you celebrate Happy Other Mother’s Day.
